I know when I book a session with a photographer, the first thing I often want to do is run out and buy every member of our family something cute to wear! That can really add to the cost of your photo session quickly!
This year, I wanted to try and save some money while styling our session, and thought you might, too!
Here are 5 ways to style your family photo session on a budget!
#1 — Shop vintage! Why not look into a second-hand store to see what gems you can find? Vintage style is still very in fashion, and places like www.modcloth.com, while carrying AWESOME stuff, can be a bit pricy. Checking to see if they have something in your local stores – or even yard sales! – is definitely worth a look.
#2 — Wear what you have! Take a good look through all your family members’ closet and find a color or colors that will look good together. Next, to spice up the interest, add in inexpensive pieces to add color. Think scarves, hats, eye-catching jewelry, hair pieces, vests, or ties.
#4 — Props. Bringing something special to your family that you already own can add not only interest to your images, but meaning as well. If you have an old suitcase or trunk that belonged to a grandparent, musical instruments, or things you use for hobbies, bring those!
